Hello!

On behalf of everyone at Cassiobury Tennis Club, a very warm welcome to our club and thank you so much for joining us. Here’s a few bits and pieces to help make sure you have everything you need to start benefiting from your membership and enjoying playing tennis at the club.

When you joined, you should have automatically received a link to our club guide, which you can also find here. The guide contains key things you need to know and get you started including how to book courts, accessing the club, priority playing times and club rules. Having read the guide, if there’s anything you’re unsure of or have a question on, just let me know.

Email club newsletters are sent out (minimum of once a month). They ensure you are kept up to date with all the latest news from the club, so are vital in helping you get the most from your membership. These come from ‘Cassiobury Tennis Club’ and are sent to the email you registered your membership with. If you aren’t receiving these, let me know so we can ensure you are on the distribution list.

Below are a few suggestions to help you get to know the club and other members:

Socials: Run daytimes, evenings and weekends, socials are a great way to meet and play with other members. No need to book – you just turn up and play, with everyone mixing in.

Club Ladders: We run inclusive ladder comps for Juniors and for Adults. You’ll find yourself near players of similar ability and can use a smart app to connect easily to others and arrange matches. It’s a fantastic way to meet other club members and find a group of players similar to your standard.

Beginner and Improver WhatsApp Groups: To help all members connect with each other and play someone of a similar standard, our club coaches have set up groups where there’s lots of activity and people arranging games with each other, both singles and doubles. If you’d like to be added, speak to one of our coaches who will also help work out what group it would be best for you to join.

Group Coaching: Our coaches offer adult group coaching during the week and at weekends (termly or weekly fees) for all levels. You can find the latest coaching timetable on the noticeboard in the clubhouse. Again, the coaching team will be more than happy to help you identify what level you are. They are also available for individual coaching.

Club Events: We have a range of events taking place throughout the year. Link to our club events calendar is always on every newsletter and here on the website.

Competitive Tennis: If you’re interested in playing competitively for the club, have a chat to one of the coaches who can help connect you to the relevant captain.

I’d really encourage you to pop along to meet other members at socials or club events – we pride ourselves on being a family friendly club, so you’ll receive a warm welcome!

Cassiobury Tennis Club is run by a volunteer Management Committee. We work hard throughout the year to make Cassiobury Tennis Club a great place for everyone to enjoy their tennis. If you’ve ever got any questions or concerns you can always contact me directly via email – jobrun10@gmail.com

Thanks again for joining us  – look forward to meeting you on the courts soon!
